Sean “Diddy” Combs’ prison release date has once again been brought forward, reducing his sentence behind bars shorter than expected.
According to official documents from the Federal Bureau of Prisons consulted Monday, June 15, the 56-year-old music mogul is now scheduled to be released on February 23, 2028.
This is the latest adjustment to his schedule, as the rapper was originally scheduled to remain in prison until June 4, 2028.
Earlier this year, its release had already been brought forward by a month and a half, to April 25, 2028, but this new update buys it even more time.
Interestingly, the date change came as a surprise to those around the musician, as Combs’ team was not initially informed of the revised date.
The record producer is currently serving his four-year sentence at Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison in southern New Jersey.
He was sentenced to 50 months in prison last year after being convicted of two counts of transportation for prostitution in July 2025, officially beginning his sentence behind bars two months later.
Throughout his high-profile federal trial, Combs maintained his innocence and consistently pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
Since the conclusion of the trial and his conviction, Combs and his legal team have actively appealed the case and he remains incarcerated pending a court decision.
His lawyer, Juda Engelmayer, revealed that the disgraced music executive has managed to remain remarkably positive and hopeful despite his situation.
