- Clarkson’s Farm has been renewed for a sixth season, according to several media
- Amazon has not yet confirmed that this is the case
- Myriad problems on the farm could affect the release of season 6
Clarkson’s Farm Episodes 7 and 8 of Season 5 are set to premiere on Prime Video this week, marking the end of the latest installment of Jeremy Clarkson’s hit reality series.
In April, The Independent suggested that Clarkson’s Farm season 6 was on the way, despite an official statement never coming directly from Amazon.
At first glance, this seems like a no-brainer. This season’s four-episode premiere is estimated to have attracted between 4 and 4.5 million viewers, while season 4 was also reported to be the second most-watched TV series in the UK across streaming and linear channels in 2025.
However, in all this excitement, we may have forgotten something important – and that could mean that the Season 6 release window of Summer 2027 is hazy, to say the least.
“The crew is exhausted”
Look on it
Last May, in the midst of production on Season 5, Clarkson confirmed that a filming break was planned before any Season 6 announcements.
Speaking to The Times, he said: “I would do a sixth if there was a reason to do it, like a good story… Whatever happens, we’ll definitely take a short break because the crews are all exhausted. We’ve been shooting here two or three days a week, every week, for five years. Everyone could use a rest.”
This was compounded by Jeremy later confirming in his Sunday Times column that filming for season 6 had been suspended due to various issues. In a post on the show’s official Facebook page, the social team said: “Filming has already encountered a few obstacles along the way, including a production hiatus, testing positive for tuberculosis. [tuberculosis] testing and incessant rain earlier this year.
Clearly, a “damn good story” has been found, which is fantastic news for fans. However, given the aforementioned delays, the Season 6 release window for Summer 2027 will likely be months later than expected.
I would invest in season 6 which will be released next August, but the problems don’t end there. Season 6 could also be the last part of the series, although rumors about season 7 are already circulating on social networks.
“I think it’s reaching the end of its natural lifespan,” one fan posted on Reddit, with a second saying, “Didn’t they just ask for their parking extension to be extended to 2030 due to ongoing filming with the show? I know only season 6 has officially been greenlit, but it looks like they’re preparing for case 7, 8, [and] 9 also passed.”
No decision has been made regarding the expansion of the Diddly Squat car park at the time of writing. The current deadline would require Jérémie to return the “temporary” parking lot of the farm store to its natural state by the end of the month. It is unclear, however, whether this indicates filming for future seasons.
