Shangla:
Police thwarted a terrorist attack on a police station in the district of Shangla district, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Saturday.
The terrorists had launched an attack on a police checkpoint in the distant area of Shikolai. However, police staff set up a strong defense, courageously responding to the assault. According to the police, the two parties exchanged shots for an extended period but, fortunately, there were no victim and the terrorists were forced to flee.
The Police Inspector General (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed strongly congratulated the police for his solid defense and announced a reward for their bravery.
Shangla police have always demonstrated exceptional courage and bravery in the face of terrorism.
Official sources told L’Express PK Press Club that the terrorists had launched the late attack on the police station at the cabbage police station using light and heavy weapons.
A strong shooting was then entered between the police and the terrorists who lasted for hours. Due to the timely and robust police response, however, the attackers had been forced to withdraw, fully taking advantage of the darkness.
During subsequent research operations, traces of flight activists were found in several places.
Police has proven himself fully able to deal with any terrorist assault, respecting such threats.
The IGP welcomed the bravery of Shangla’s police staff, declaring that they were always ready to respond to any terrorist attack.
He announced cash awards and appreciation certificates for the staff who had rejected the attack, recognizing their exceptional service.
On the other hand, Shah Hassan, police officer of the Shangla District (DPO), and other police officers escaped unscathed in a remote -controlled bomb attack on their vehicles in Doh Khawaro Shekulai Mor.
A vehicle deprived of a special branch and an elite force has been damaged in the explosion. Police completed the entire area and launched a large -scale research and strike operation.
An inspection of the unit for the elimination of bombs (BDU) is underway to determine the nature of the explosion. The Deputy Inspector General of the Malakand Division (DIG) also visited the scene and the operations are underway under his direction.
