Shotzi brought his “devil may care” style to Major League Wrestling (MLW) last June, just a month after leaving WWE when his contract with the company expired.

She made her debut at Summer of the Beasts and around nine months later she officially signed with the company. Shotzi’s extreme, full-throttle nature brought extra energy to the MLW women’s division.

She spoke about her decision to sign with MLW, suggesting it was the right time and place for her.

“When my contract ended with WWE, I really wasn’t in a rush to sign anywhere,” she told PK Press Club Digital. “It kind of reminds me of when you get tired of dating and you’re like, ‘Oh, I’m not looking for a relationship,’ and that’s when you find the love of your life. … I started wrestling for MLW, they were one of the first companies to contact me when my contract was up.

“They immediately brought me in and they immediately understood my character and I was having so much fun that when they asked me to sign, I was like, ‘You know what? Yeah, let’s make it official.'”

Shotzi said she had the most fun in her professional wrestling career.

“I’m having a blast. Just like the creative freedom I have, the fighting freedom I have to be everywhere,” she said. “I feel like I’m finally getting my wrestling fix. I’m traveling the world and competing in some of the most incredible matches – matches that I’m really proud of. I really love the roster of matches I’m creating. I’m so proud.”

Shotzi will be in action when “MLW Fusion” debuts on Veeps Saturday night and is relishing the opportunity to welcome more fans to the promotion.

“I love that MLW is so easily accessible now,” she said. “You can see us everywhere – YouTube, beIN Sports, Veeps. I love that we have so many partners and you can see us everywhere. Getting MLW exposure everywhere is really cool to see.”

Shotzi added that MLW isn’t afraid to “push the boundaries” with its wrestling and storytelling, which sets it apart from the crowd in the industry.

“The thing about MLW — I feel like some places are missing is the storytelling,” she told PK Press Club Digital. “MLW has great storylines. They’re not afraid to push the envelope with stuff and it feels like pro wrestling. Real pro wrestling, entertainment.
