- Spotify and Peloton announced a new partnership and fitness center
- It brings over 1,400 Peloton video workouts to the Spotify app
- It’s rolling out globally today (April 27) to Premium subscribers.
First it was music, then podcasts and audiobooks, and now Spotify is entering a new era: fitness.
The music streaming giant is teaming up with one of the biggest names in fitness, Peloton, to offer Peloton’s extensive range of video workouts in a new Fitness hub in the Spotify app.
Starting today, more than 1,400 curated classes will be available to Spotify Premium subscribers, covering strength, pilates, barre, yoga, stretching, meditation, floor-based cardio, and outdoor running and walking.

Peloton said these courses would be accessible “in most countries where Spotify is available.”
The collaboration is part of Peloton’s broader plans to expand its reach globally and improve the accessibility of its experience. “We’ve always believed that the best workout is the one you actually do, which is why accessing world-class fitness content should be as easy as logging into your favorite Spotify playlist,” said Dion Camp Sanders, chief business officer of Peloton.
“As we continue to deepen our path to wellness, our work with Spotify is just our latest initiative to expand our reach and capture new revenue streams through Peloton’s unparalleled experience, content and instruction.”
Last week, Spotify celebrated 20 years as one of the best music streaming services, and as part of our coverage, I spoke to Sten Garmark, the company’s global head of consumer experience, who reflected on Spotify’s influence and announced plans to expand into more formats – and this new partnership suggests it’s wasting no time in doing so.
“For nearly two decades, Spotify has been the soundtrack to workouts around the world,” said Roman Wasenmüller, Vice President and Global Head of Podcasts. “Today, we’re expanding Spotify to become a true everyday wellness companion. By integrating Peloton directly into our video and audio ecosystem, we’re investing in a future where Spotify isn’t just where you spend your time, it’s where you go to build momentum, improve your well-being, and get the most out of every day.”
Although Spotify and Peloton haven’t detailed how the new fitness center will work, we can get a good idea from some early images shared by the brands. For starters, the Fitness hub looks like one of Spotify’s existing category families, such as Made For You and Genre Hubs, so I assume it will appear in the app’s Search tab alongside the others.
Instead of just consolidating all of Peloton’s video workouts into one space, Spotify implements an integration system to tailor Peloton workouts to suit your fitness goals and current mood. This consists of a series of questions such as “what movement do you want?” » » and “How do you want to surpass yourself? ”, as well as your fitness and experience level.
Once you complete the quiz, Spotify will present you with a workout starter pack to explore. Alternatively, there is an option to browse all the workouts offered.
I’ll be testing Spotify’s Fitness Hub when it becomes available, and once I’ve tried it, I’ll share my experience and first impressions. I can’t wait to see if Spotify has the qualifications to be my new personal trainer.
