During a recent appearance at New York’s 92NY, Stanley Tucci once again tackled one of Internet celebrities’ favorite mysteries: why everyone thinks he’s Mark Strong.
And honestly? Even Tucci stopped fighting him.
“Mark Strong, always,” the actor admitted when asked which celebrity he’s constantly confused with. “We’re complimented on everyone’s performance. It’s really great.”

When moderator Josh Horowitz joked, “Not all bald, attractive men are alike, folks,” Tucci immediately responded, “Apparently we are.” »
At this point, the confusion has become so legendary that even Mark Strong has looked into it. Speaking previously on The BBC’s one-off showStrong revealed that a fan once asked him to autograph a Stanley Tucci poster.
“She wouldn’t take no for an answer. So I just signed it as him,” Strong confessed.
A twist? Tucci apparently did the exact same thing.
There are probably dozens of signed posters somewhere that no one can completely verify.
Strong also admitted that the comparisons may have intensified after his glasses-heavy Kingsman days, saying, “I guess we look alike,” before adding that the confusion unexpectedly turned them into friends.
Despite years of fan confusion, the two actors still haven’t shared the screen together — something the internet now seems emotionally invested in solving immediately.
Until then, audiences will continue to do what they do best: confidently say “Wait… which one is that again?” » whenever one of them appears on the screen.
