Stephen A Smith refuses to apologize to Danhausen for Knicks curse

The “curse” of Danhausen is very real in the world of WWE.

The Miz, Kit Wilson and Dominik Mysterio have felt the repercussions of WWE’s dreaded “very nice, very bad” superstar “curse,” but it’s also had its effect on New York sports. While the New York Mets seem to have gotten away with it, the New York Knicks have been tangentially hit thanks to Stephen A. Smith.

Danhausen appeared on “First Take” last week and “cursed” at ESPN. Smith, a huge Knicks fan above all else, watched his team lose 2-1 to the Atlanta Hawks in their first round series of the NBA playoffs. Their extremely specialized beef was picked up on social media on Friday.

“(Stephen A. Smith) APOLOGIZE and perhaps Danhausen will consider lifting your curse,” Danhausen wrote on X. “Send human money too.”

Smith didn’t seem inclined to do any of that.

“I don’t apologize for anything @DanhausenAD,” Smith responded. “Nothing. Curse or no curse, the @nyknicks have NO BUSINESS losing this series to the @ATLHawks – no matter how good this young team is. No business.

“If the @Knicks lose this series, heads need to roll. Period. President! General Manager! Coach! Players! Even the damn dance team! To hell with all that superstitious stuff. The @nyknicks need to mind their own damn business. They better not lose this series, dammit. I swear they better not!”

As it ended there on Friday night, Danhausen showed up to “Friday Night SmackDown” with a giant photo of Smith’s head.

“You better be nice to Danhausen. Just ask Stephen A. Smith,” Danhausen told Trick Williams and Lil Yachty. “What about the Knicks?!”
