Storage Wars Star Darrell Sheets reportedly committed suicide at the age of 57. He died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was released to the Mohave County Medical Examiner. The police have opened an investigation into this.
The police press release states: “On April 22, 2026, at approximately 2:00 a.m., officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a residence located in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a deceased person.”
He added that the police department’s criminal investigations unit took over the case.
“Additional information will be released as it becomes available,” police said.
Sheets rose to fame after appearing on a reality TV show Storage wars, which featured bidders competing against each other to purchase abandoned storage units.
Known as “The Gambler” for his reckless bidding, Sheets appeared in 160 episodes of the series from 2010 to 2023.
Variety reports that the reality star retired to Arizona after suffering a heart attack in 2019.
