Admits his involvement in the murder of his sister and brother-in-law and names his accomplices

Karachi police arrested a suspect on Tuesday after the honor killing of a newly married couple in Malir Saudabad.
A statement from the Korangi police spokesperson said the main suspect was arrested within the limits of Sachal police station, adding that the motorcyclist who accompanied him during the attack was still at large.
The incident took place a day ago when the couple and others were traveling in a vehicle in Malir area. The couple were traveling by car from a court to Hyderabad at the time of the attack, with their wedding planned after Eid.
According to the first information report, three unidentified gunmen intercepted the vehicle and opened fire. CCTV footage reportedly captured the attack, showing armed motorcyclists shooting at the car as the occupants tried to escape.
The couple was killed while the attackers immediately fled. The case was registered under sections 302, 109 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
According to the police spokesperson’s statement, the suspect confessed that his sister was engaged to another individual in exchange for Rs350,000. When she married another man of her own free will, the former man demanded the return of the money and made it conditional on the woman’s murder.

The statement said the suspect identified the motorcyclist involved in the attack as the brother of the previous suitor. The suspect said he killed his sister and brother-in-law under pressure from the previous suitor.
