ISLAMABAD:

Minister of State for Interior, Senator Talal Chaudhry, has strongly rejected what he termed as “misleading and baseless propaganda” regarding the PTI founder’s health, saying the claims circulating on social media are “contrary to verified medical facts”.

In a detailed statement posted on his social media platform A high-level medical board of specialists – including ophthalmologists, cardiologists, ENT experts, dentists and others – reviews it regularly. All treatments are carried out strictly according to international medical standards.

He further said that the PTI founder underwent several eye treatments at PIMS Islamabad under the supervision of specialists and after the treatment his vision was 6/6, confirming that the procedure was successful.

Senator Chaudhry noted that even the Supreme Court of Pakistan had expressed satisfaction with the comprehensive medical report submitted by the prison superintendent.

“The reality is that perhaps no prisoner in the history of Pakistan has been given such facilities. His eye was not damaged,” he said.
