Evidence is mounting that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding is imminent, and several of the couple’s closest friends and collaborators have been spotted in and around New York City ahead of what is expected to be a July 4th weekend celebration.
Guests invited to the nuptials were expected to be in New York on July 2 and 3, according to a source interviewed by Us every weekalthough no locations or additional details were provided.
“Taylor and Travis have told guests to be in New York. No other locations have been indicated,” the source said, adding that the celebrations are planned over two days.
“They suspend their guests for a few days. They spend a lot of money, millions.”
The couple themselves haven’t said anything publicly, but Travis offered what seemed like a knowing wink during a recent episode of his show with his brother Jason. New heights podcast.
“The Fourth of July weekend is just around the corner,” he said, before cutting to an Expedia ad describing the vacation as capable of producing “great memories” and turning “a long weekend into an essential memory.”
It wasn’t subtle.
The appearance of familiar faces in the area has only fueled speculation.
Sabrina Carpenter was photographed dining in New York, while model and singer Suki Waterhouse was spotted out and about in the city.
Perhaps most telling of all, Taylor’s longtime collaborator and producer Aaron Dessner was seen having dinner with Ed Sheeran on June 30 at BuonaSera on the Lake in Malta, New York, a restaurant located about 60 miles from Dessner’s Long Pond studio, where Swift recorded a significant portion of her music.
Madison Square Garden is the most popular venue, offering the privacy, security and performance infrastructure that a wedding of this scale would require.
Whether this is the real venue or an elaborate decoy remains to be seen, but with the guest list seemingly coming together, the answer may not be far away.
