Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s star-studded wedding wasn’t just a fairytale celebration, it was also the ultimate gift event, with one incredibly lucky guest even walking away with their own “getaway car.”
The 36 year old man Opalite The singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end officially tied the knot in a spectacular ceremony at New York’s Madison Square Garden on July 3.
But while the high-profile nuptials were filled with moving vows and top-notch performances, it was the lavish reception games that truly stole the show, with a high-stakes raffle that handed out designer handbags and an immaculate vintage 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle.
According to a report from NBC Newswho spoke to two anonymous wedding guests, the newly married couple entertained their 1,000 attendees for hours by hosting a series of board games.
Guests who triumphed in these games won raffle tickets, giving them a chance to win the most prestigious prizes.
The vintage Chevrolet Chevelle raffle car has deeply sentimental meaning for the newlyweds, as it is the exact same make and model of convertible that Kelce used to lure Swift away from his very first Chiefs game in Kansas City in September 2023.
Beyond the thrilling draws, every element of the big arena wedding was scaled to perfection.
Insiders said PEOPLE that the interior of Madison Square Garden has been completely transformed to resemble an enchanted forest, filled with real trees, lush ferns and white seat covers draped over stadium chairs.
Swift walked down a personalized aisle to a center stage where the couple read deeply personal 20-minute vows directly from guestbooks.
Anticipating that the emotional family union might overwhelm their guests, the couple thoughtfully left embroidered handkerchiefs on the seats so they could cry with joy.
After the ceremony, officiated by their close friend and Hollywood actor Adam Sandler, the mother of the bride invited the crowd into a very crowded reception hall equipped with food booths serving upscale Italian cuisine, fresh sushi and bars scattered throughout the space.
The evening doubled as an exclusive music festival, with breathtaking concerts from Beatles legend Paul McCartney, who sang I want to hold your handalongside a performance by rock icon Stevie Nicks.
The bride and groom both wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture designed by Jonathan Anderson, paired with Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry for Swift.
Foregoing a traditional wedding party, Taylor’s brother Austin Swift became her best man while Jason Kelce served as best man.
