Karachi:
The licensed employees of Pakistan Steel Musts organized a sit-in event on the track of Bin Qasim station, leading to the complete suspension of train services to and from the city, causing serious disadvantages of passengers.
The demonstrators, holding banners in their hands, raised strong slogans.
Divisional commercial officer (DCO) Karachi Railways said there was a huge rush of passengers from Tezgam Express, Karachi Express and other trains at Karachi Cantt station, because many trains have been delayed for hours, passengers demanding a reimbursement of ticket money. The railway administration has announced that the money from the ticket will be reimbursed for passengers for delayed trains for more than six hours.
The Rehman Baba Express was arrested in Landhi, and Pakistan Express was arrested at the bus station, while the Millat Express and the Green line passengers were forced to go on foot from Pipri station. The railway administration is trying to end the sit-in since morning, in vain.
The Federal Minister of Railways contacted CM requesting its cooperation in the cleaning of the tracks, declaring that the train operations were suspended for several hours.
Traffic traffic was restored after the unions have entered into an agreement.
