This is what Jenna Bush Hager’s children call her

Jenna Bush Hager revealed the cute nickname her children give her.

If your own kids have ever given you an embarrassing nickname, the news anchor knows exactly how you feel.

THE Today with Jenna and Sheinelle The co-host revealed on Wednesday’s episode that her three children, Mila, 13, Poppy, 10, and Hal, 6, had taken to calling her “Biggie.”

And she’s not happy about it.

“They call me Biggie,” Hager told co-host Sheinelle Jones.

“They say, ‘OK, Biggie!’ And I’m like, “Excuse me? » They say, “Whatever, Biggie!” » »

The 44-year-old, who shares children with husband Henry Chase Hager, said the nickname was brought home by the kids and she wishes they would have left it at the door.

It’s even worse.

Turns out the term is shorthand for “Big Back,” a slang expression that Mila apparently condensed into one word “delinquent.”

When Jones heard where it came from, she said it made the situation even worse.

His initial reaction, “I’ve never heard that. That hurts me,” was arguably the most relatable response of the segment.

Hager admitted she had a complicated reaction at first.

“Part of me initially thought it was…I like humor in words, so I was like, ‘Oh, that’s creative,'” she said.

But the fun didn’t last long, especially when she began to imagine the nickname would come to life. “Stop calling everyone Biggie. It will spread,” she warned her daughter.

His biggest concern, however, is that six-year-old Hal will inadvertently carry him into class.

“I’m like, ‘Mila, stop saying that. Hal’s going to go to school and his teacher is going to say, ‘Now, Hal, please turn in your homework.’

And he’ll say, ‘No way, Biggie!'” It’s the kind of scenario that’s funny until it actually happens.

This isn’t the first time Mila has put her mother firmly in her place.

Last month, Hager revealed that her eldest had effectively banned her from attending volleyball games after one too many moments of excitement on the sidelines.

“My kid kicked me out,” she said, or more accurately, she was placed in what she calls a “free zone” after she let out an inappropriate cheer mid-game.

“The score was 6 to 7, and I said, ‘Six seven!'” she recalls, before imitating the icy look Mila gave her.

She ended up only attending one game all season and now hopes to be “unfrozen” in time for next year.

Biggie, it seems, has some repairs to do.
