In fact, the Avengers: Apocalypse The clock video on Marvel’s YouTube channel, which has been counting down for months until the film’s release date, has been updated. The minutes and seconds of the timer are now displayed in green, and music now accompanies the ticking of said clock.

Does this mean doomsdayWill the first real trailer be with us at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm BST? I’m still skeptical and think it’s just a countdown until the pre-sale window finally opens – but we’ll know for sure in less than 30 minutes.

Avengers: Apocalypse Tickets are finally set to go on sale later today (July 20) – and Marvel fans believe the film’s first trailer could also be released at the same time.
As The Hollywood Reporter revealed earlier this month, movie buffs and comic book fans will soon be able to pre-reserve their seats for one of the hottest new films of 2026. And some theater chains, like US company Regal, are already telling fans where they can watch doomsday on December 18, fans will be able to purchase tickets in advance before the end of the day.
This isn’t the only Marvel-related thing that could happen today, as some people believe the pre-sale launch will coincide with the start of doomsdayThe official trailer for.
In screenshots posted to Reddit pages including r/MarvelStudios, r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers and r/LeaksandRumors, the app from popular US movie ticket company Fandango appears to indicate that a new trailer would accompany the launch of pre-sales for the film.
Less than an hour later, users in a separate r/LeaksandRumors thread noted that the trailer banner had been removed from the Fandango app. Some see this as confirmation that we’ll soon get a new look at the Marvel Phase 6 movie – but I’m not entirely convinced that will be the case.
Why Marvel Shouldn’t – and Should – Wait for a New Avengers: Doomsday Trailer to Release
If Marvel reveals Avengers: ApocalypseThe fifth trailer for – remember, four small teasers were released between December 2025 and January 2026 – today wouldn’t be a complete shock.
Indeed, releasing a new trailer, which would likely end up telling people that they can pre-book their tickets right now, would further increase interest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film and generate even more ticket sales. Releasing more new footage before Marvel hosts its final Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2026, which takes place on Saturday, July 25, would also give it more time to highlight some of its other upcoming Disney+ films and projects during said presentation, as doomsday would not dominate the debates.
However, with SDCC 2026 just days away, I’m baffled by the suggestion that Marvel would release doomsdaythe first trailer ahead of schedule. The aforementioned film is the comic book titan’s most anticipated film in years, and, given that past editions of SDCC have been where Marvel has made the biggest announcements and reveals about a myriad of films, I can’t foresee a one-time change to this tried-and-true strategy – let alone big success.
