Tired of your ugly robot vacuum cleaner? Shark has a solution: designer robovacs in chic colors that blend into your decor rather than stand out

  • Shark has launched a new Luxe collection of robot and cordless vacuum cleaners
  • The range features soft colors, satin finishes and metallic accents
  • It was designed in partnership with designer and television personality Jeremiah Brent.

Robovacs are great for keeping your home tidy between deep cleanings, but they’re not very attractive. Even the best robot vacuum cleaner is usually a piece of black or white plastic sitting on a matching base, and that’s something you’d probably prefer to hide if possible – some homeowners even build miniature garages to keep their robots out of sight. Now, Shark has come to the rescue with a robot vacuum cleaner that looks more like a work of art than a household appliance.

The company partnered with interior designer Jeremiah Brent of design studio AD100, who you may remember as the interior design expert from seasons 9 and 10 of strange eye. He used his expertise to help develop a new version of the Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal 2-in-1 Vacuum and Mop that looks much more attractive than the original, while cleaning just as well.

We gave the PowerDetect UV Reveal 2-In-1 Vac & Mop four out of five stars in our review and were particularly impressed with its obstacle avoidance, edge cleaning with extendable mop pads, and ability to cross thresholds. It’s not much to look at though, which is a shame for such a visible device.

Now, however, the same vacuum is available in four subtle new colors – Evergreen, Ivory, Espresso and Deep Harbor (navy blue) – all of which have coordinating satin metallic trim.
