Islamabad international airport has reached an important step with the launch of its very first freight flights from China.
According to Express News, the first freight flight from Urumqi, operated by SF Airlines, arrived at Islamabad airport carrying more than 25 tonnes of goods. The Chinese delegation was warmly welcomed by the chief of the farm (COO) and the director of the AFTAB Gilani airport.
In a press release, AFTAB Gilani stressed that two cargo flights will work each week, with the possibility of additional expansion in the future while stressing that this initiative will strengthen trade relations between Pakistan and China, two countries with long -standing ties.
Gilani also mentioned that the start of freight flights would not only increase trade but would also result in an increase in cargo debit costs, which would result in a significant increase in income from Pakistan Airport Authority.
This development should improve connectivity between Pakistan and China, further facilitating the movement of goods and strengthening economic collaboration between the two nations.
