Watch Arthur Fery vs Alexander Zverev live on Wimbledon 2026 in a semi-final that no one would have predicted before the tournament. The British wildcard has exploded into the public consciousness, but now he faces his toughest test, against the second seed.
Fery has been the story of Wimbledon 2026. Ranked 114th in the world before a ball was hit at the All England Club, the 23-year-old beat former world number three Grigor Dimitrov and French Open 2026 finalist Fabio Cobolli in successive rounds to reach the semi-finals, having never made it past the second round at a slam. Superb in a 6-4 7-6 6-0 victory over Cobolli in the last 16, Fery showed immense calm under pressure throughout, but must start well and channel the home crowd if he is to become the first wildcard to reach the Wimbledon final since Goran Ivanisevic in 2001.
Zverev lost just two sets to reach his first Wimbledon semifinal. The 29-year-old finally ended his quest for a major title at Roland Garros, beating the aforementioned Cobolli in the final, and will start as a heavy favorite after demolishing sixth seed Taylor Fritz 6-4 6-4 6-2 in the last eight here. Zverev’s serve is arguably the most improved shot on tour, but it has historically weakened under pressure. Fery will therefore look to take the ball early and also target the German’s weaker forehand wing.
