2026 gives us Aang squared. Not only has Netflix given us Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 at the end of June, but now Paramount+ is returning to its popular animated franchise with Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender.
The title is only slightly changed, but the difference between the two stories is huge. In the latter, it’s been 13 years since the gang defeated Lord Ozai and the Fire Nation, and attention has turned to a new airbender named Tagah.
Together, Aang and Tagah embark on a worldwide quest to find the relic before a group called The Denied. But will they succeed – and when Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender coming to Paramount+?

Unlike the original series, Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender is actually a feature film. With a running time of 99 minutes, that’s roughly equivalent to four episodes of the original series.
For those who want to see it on the big screen, it is also being released in theaters. However, only select theaters in New York and Los Angeles will screen it between July 24 and 30. So you’ll need to be quick to book your tickets to experience it during its limited release in theaters.
