Oh, listen carefully: it’s almost time to watch the latest episode of The boys.
That’s right, the Amazon TV Original’s fifth season — and the series itself — will end with this week’s episode. And, while The boys Season 5 drew heavy criticism from parts of its fanbase for the pacing of its plot and a myriad of other issues. I’m willing to bet that every single viewer of the satirical superhero series will be tuning in to see how it ends.

The boys‘Story Capper will debut on Prime Video at 12:00 a.m. PT / 3:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, May 20.
This will be the case in North and South America anyway. The rest of the world will be able to watch it on any of the top streaming services on the aforementioned date, but its launch time will vary depending on where you live.

Will there be a season 6 of The Boys?
If you ignored all of the above: no, The boys will end after the release of the season 5 finale on Prime Video.
That said, the R-rated franchise will continue once its main show ends. Vought Risinga prequel starring Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, is expected to premiere in 2027.
Meanwhile, franchise overlord Eric Kripke has said more spin-offs are in the works, including a show currently set in Mexico. A third season of Generation Vwhich would have been put in a post-The boys the world, however, is not on the agenda due to its recent cancellation.
