Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly have summer plans as preparations are underway for their visit to the UK.
Official confirmation is still pending on this, with Buckingham Palace and Sussex’s office declining to comment, likely due to security concerns.
However, another major summer event is taking place in Hollywood: the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Even since the couple got engaged in August 2025, the upcoming nuptials have been dubbed the “American Royal Wedding.” And many were waiting for the invitation, including the Duchess of Sussex.
According to Hollywood sources, Rob Shuter revealed that the wedding guest list has been finalized and that Montecito will not receive an invitation from the Grammy-winning popstar.
“Meghan has always been attracted to powerful people,” a close source revealed. “Throughout her career, she has been attracted to influential people and high-profile circles. Taylor has become the ultimate prize.”
Another source shared that Meghan wanted to get closer to the Opalite singer because “no one has more cultural influence than Taylor Swift, and Meghan has wanted that connection for years.”
Therefore, Meghan “desperately” wanted the invitation because it would have been a step stool. She believed Taylor could “raise her status and open doors.”
Meanwhile, the musician recently inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame “values loyalty and authentic relationships” and keeps her distance from people who just want access.
