As the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup unfolds, teams will secure their place for the knockout stage, which begins on June 28 and concludes with the World Cup final on July 19.
The field of 48 will be reduced to 32, then the titular eliminations will begin, with overtime and penalty shootouts if necessary to determine a winner. Here are the teams that have managed to secure a ticket to the round of 16 of the World Cup so far.
