LAS VEGAS– WWE star Danhausen has been a quirky delight since joining the company and making his debut at Elimination Chamber in February.
Danhausen has a knack for “cursing” his WWE opponents. Stars like Dominik Mysterio, Kit Wilson and The Miz have all felt the effects of Danhausen’s abilities, and it appears the New York Mets are suffering as well.

Former WWE head writer Brian Gewirtz, a longtime Mets fan, told Danhausen earlier this week on social media that if he could lift the “curse” on the Mets, he would “do everything in my power to put his face on the side of a (WWE production) truck.”
Danhausen said Gewirtz had a deal and immediately wanted to have his face on the truck. However, it appears that this agreement did not come to fruition.

“I canceled the Mets curse. But it didn’t work because, I believe, it was Brian Gewirtz who didn’t pay Danhausen. He didn’t send me my money so it didn’t take full effect,” Danhausen told PK Press Club Digital Friday morning. “Once I have the money, maybe it will work, because right now it’s probably half a non-curse. It’s like a layaway situation.”
Hours later, the Mets lost their ninth straight game to the Chicago Cubs 12-4.

The Cubs had to deal with the “curse of the goat” for years before winning the World Series in 2016. It appears the Mets have to deal with the Curse of Danhausen, at least for now.
Meanwhile, for Danhausen, he is set for his first WrestleMania appearance in one capacity or another. Reports indicated that he would have at least one segment with John Cena at WrestleMania 42.
