This was stated by Luca de Meo, CEO of Kering, owner of Gucci, in conversation with PK Press Club, specifically saying that they will be released “probably next year, 2027.”
The smart glasses will be made in partnership with Google and will therefore likely run Android XR β an operating system that is so far only available on the Samsung Galaxy

Not the first but not far behind
Some of these will likely arrive this year, so Gucci won’t be the first to release, but it probably won’t be far behind, with de Meo explaining that the brand is planning to expand its eyewear division to help rebuild the Gucci brand, which has struggled a bit in recent years.
We don’t know much about these smart glasses yet, but they will definitely be extremely expensive. Even smart specs that aren’t made by luxury brands will likely cost a lot, so Gucci-branded ones may be virtually unattainable for many.
Still, their specs are unlikely to be better than Google or Samsung-branded smart glasses. Instead, you’ll pay for the name, and perhaps the specific design or materials. So if Gucci is out of your price range, you probably won’t be missing out on much.
