Zoë Kravitz is not kidding the one from Hulu attempt to be cheeky.
The streaming platform recently found itself in a sticky situation after posting — and quickly deleting — an Instagram caption that appeared to mock Kravitz’s relationship with fiancé Harry Styles by using a flashback to her canceled series. High fidelity.
“Robyn Brooks definitely has Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally on her playlist,” the April 27 caption read alongside an image of Kravitz’s character from the fan-favorite show.
The problem ? Kissing all the time, disco once in a while It happens to be the title of Styles’ latest album.
Kravitz wasted no time in making his feelings known.
“This is cheesy,” the actress commented on May 6, according to screenshots shared by Page sixwhile directly branding Hulu. Subtle? Not exactly.
The awkward moment on social media reignited the conversation around High fidelitythe stylish musical comedy-drama that Hulu canceled after just one season despite good reviews and a loyal fan base.
In 2020, Kravitz already hinted that there was bad blood after the cancellation.
“That’s cool. At least Hulu has a ton of other shows featuring women of color that we can watch. Oh wait,” she responded to Tessa Thompson after the series was removed.
Even years later, fans still seem bitter about the cancellation — and honestly, so are some celebrities.
“I rarely find shows that really impress me. This one did,” wrote Lena Waithe, while Questlove reacted with: “WHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTT!!!?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!??? Why do I always find out about tragic bullshit like this?!”
Moral of the story? Maybe don’t tease your ex-star online if she’s already dragged you once before.
