Jericho told PK Press Club Digital in a recent interview that he wants his career to be remembered the same way as that of a major rock and roll band.

“I think it’s like a big rock and roll band, you know?” he said. “I mean, the Rolling Stones just released a new album, and it’s amazing, but the Stones have been around for 60 years and there are certain eras that you love, certain eras that you hate, certain eras that you wish they would go away, and certain eras that you wish they would do more, and you’re still happy that they’re here. I think when I’m done, people will be sad that I’m not here anymore.”

He said he believes people who don’t currently like him might miss him once he hangs up his boots.

“And I think a lot of people that you mentioned on social media who don’t like me just because I always do this will realize that, hey, we had something pretty cool there, we should have looked a little harder because all I do is give my best, whatever situation I’m in, to make it better, to make my opponent better, to make me better, to make the company better, to make “The series is the best, and I’m very proud of all the work I’ve finished,” he said.

“And that’s why I still do it, that’s why I still love wrestling and making documentaries about wrestling itself, because I think it’s such a wonderful sport that really connects the world, a wonderful form of entertainment. I’m living my dream doing something that I’ve always wanted to do and here I’ve been doing it almost longer than anyone at a high level. I think it’s something to be proud of.”

Jericho currently competes in AEW and returns to programming in April. His documentary “Vietslam” was also released Tuesday.
