- Apple TV gets the green light Disavoweda new action thriller series
- James Marsden stars as a CIA agent who is abruptly fired
- A release date has not yet been confirmed
Disavowed is an exciting new Apple TV series, and as soon as I saw the news, I knew Heaven fans would be all over this. We’ve already seen James Marsden as the president in Hulu’s hit thriller, and now he’s switching sides to play a CIA agent.
In DisavowedMarsden will play a legendary CIA case officer, Brad Griffin, who finds himself abruptly fired in the middle of a global hunt for the elusive assassin responsible for his colleague’s murder, derailing his plans to take him down.
Now disgraced and excluded from the world of intelligence, Brad takes a huge risk and decides to go after the $15 million bounty set by the federal government for the assassin’s head. This premise alone had me hooked.
What else do we know about Disavowed?
Disavowed is created by Unexplored’s Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, based on an original concept of theirs. Marsden will also be an executive producer, so he is very involved in the series.
At the moment, beyond the initial synopsis, we do not know when the series will air or any other details about it. But my first reaction is that it will be one to watch. Marsden recently starred in Apple TV Your friends and neighbors alongside Jon Hamm as well, so he’s already been on a popular show for one of the top streaming services.
So far, so good. Although there isn’t much information available, as someone who loved the thrill of HeavenI look forward to following Marsden again as he takes on another intriguing role, different from that of President Cal Bradford.
I’m already on the edge of my seat waiting for a trailer.
