At least 12 people killed in Missouri plane crash, state Highway Patrol says

Twelve people are believed to have died in a plane crash Sunday in Butler, Missouri, the state Highway Patrol announced on social media.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened near Butler Memorial Airport.

β€œAt present, reports indicate that all occupants (12 in total) have perished,” the agency wrote in a post on X.

The victims included 11 skydivers and a pilot, a Bates County Emergency Management spokesperson told the local television station. Fox4.

Butler is about 60 miles south of Kansas City, Missouri.

Emergency crews and officials from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are on scene, according to reports.
