It’s been quite a week for Cardi B and Stefon Diggs.
Just days after the couple turned heads with a very public display of affection, they were caught in an equally public argument outside a coffee shop and gym in Burtonsville, Maryland, on Wednesday.
Video footage posted online showed Up the rapper, 33, looked visibly agitated as she confronted Diggs, 32, who responded by leaning against a car with his arms crossed, seemingly unfazed.
At one point, a man accompanying Cardi put a hand on her shoulder in an apparent attempt to calm things down.
The exchange, according to our sources, lasted around ten minutes. TMZ was the first to report the incident, with a source telling the outlet that Cardi was heard saying “that bitch is a mess” to Diggs during the confrontation.
The timing makes it all the more striking.
Just this past Saturday, Cardi made a surprise appearance at Diggs’ Deep Foundation Mother’s Day wellness event, where the former New England Patriots wide receiver was photographed kissing her on the cheek and wrapping his arm around her waist.
A source said Us every week shortly after the weekend, Cardi gives Diggs “a second chance but doesn’t fully commit to him.”
This rather delicate situation could partly explain the tensions which arose on Wednesday.
The two reportedly split in February, nearly a year after going public as a couple, with their breakup coinciding with Diggs and the Patriots preparing for the 2026 Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks.
The couple also share a son, born last November, meaning that regardless of their relationship status, they remain firmly in each other’s lives.
It remains to be seen whether Wednesday’s argument marks another setback or simply the turbulence of two people still trying to figure things out.
