LAS VEGAS – Mexican professional wrestling legends Blue Panther and Último Guerrero have been through hardships and more during their careers.
Panther, 65, made his wrestling debut in 1978. He left Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in 1992, then returned in 1997. Guerrero, 54, began his career in 1990 and joined CMLL in 1997. Both won multiple championships with the company during their tenure there and, on Thursday night, entered the the story.

Panther and Guerrero were part of CMLL’s first one-man show in the United States. The company traveled to Las Vegas for the event for the first time in its 92-year history. They faced off in a match of legends that turned into a must-see wrestling performance.
The two giants of Lucha Libre went back in time to deliver a phenomenal performance. Guerrero unleashed hurricanrana and a superplex from the top rope. Panther made him do several suicide dives. When Guerrero moved away from the third, Panther hit a crossbody from the middle rope onto the floor.
Panther closed the match with a draw from the top rope. He then pinned Guerrero for the victory.
Fans who filled the Pearl Theater at the Palms Casino Resort shouted “Muchas gracias” at the two superstars, who didn’t look at all like they were about to hang up their boots.

Meanwhile, the show featured Persephone defending her CMLL Women’s World Championship against former CMLL Tag Team Champion and former Total Nonstop Action (TNA) World Champion and Knockout Champion Tessa Blanchard.
Blanchard entered the room as the ultimate heel and heard boos from the crowd because of it. But she was not shy in the face of rising star Persephone. She went to work on Persephone, targeting her knee throughout the match.
Persephone would do everything she could to take care of Blanchard. After receiving a cutter on the apron, Persephone hit Blanchard with a wicked German suplex.

As the match progressed, Persephone gained the upper hand in the corner. She managed to reverse Blanchard’s attack and nailed her with a crucifix powerbomb for the win. She is 3-1 against Blanchard all time.
Persephone will have the chance to win more gold on Friday night when she makes her Maple Leaf Pro (MLP) debut in the Slam Fest event. She is fighting for the MLP Canadian Women’s Championship against titleholders Gisele Shaw and Shotzi Blackheart.
