Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie, known for being the most loyal and down-to-earth members of the royal family, found themselves in a new predicament as a new report revealed stunning new details.
King Charles is believed to hold the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh in his close entourage and entrust them with crucial tasks. It was also believed that Charles relied on his youngest brother to take care of the public’s optics after Andrew’s devastation.
However, amid public outcry over ‘rent-free’ houses of mercy, it was discovered that the Edinburghs benefited from a deal similar to Andrew’s, shamefully.
The couple had earned an undisclosed sum after renting a unit within the grounds of their Bagshot Park mansion from the Royal Collection Trust. Daily Mail sources insist the deal lasted only “a short period and is not unusual.”
It appears that the property was rented to staff and/or retirees and the amount was apparently sufficient to cover running costs.
