Former NFL tight end Marcellus Wiley allegedly threatened to kill his wife before his arrest for domestic battery on July 4.

An arrest affidavit, obtained by the New York Post, details Wiley’s wife, Annemarie, calling police to report battery following an altercation at the World Marriott in Orlando, Florida.

Annemarie, who starred on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” claims her husband threatened to kill her and was violent in front of their seven-year-old daughter.

The Wiley family, which included their two other children, was at the hotel for a basketball tournament. Their children, along with others, were in the room when police arrived.

In the arrest affidavit, Annemarie also states that she wanted her husband removed from the room because of the threat to his life. She also spoke of her intention to divorce.

Annemarie claims that on Friday morning, the former Pro Bowl defensive end stood over her and “used one finger to severely and intentionally punch her in the cheek” while in front of their daughter.

Annemarie alleged a history of past violence against her, although this was never reported to law enforcement.

On Wiley’s behalf, he said they did not have a physical altercation at the hotel and denied any past violent history. He also sent officers text messages between him and his wife, which police described as cordial.

He also posted on social media: “I completely and unequivocally deny these allegations, and I am confident that the truth will prevail. »

“As you know, I am usually the first to break the truth and separate fact from fiction. But because this is now a legal matter – and because my greatest responsibility is to protect my babies, who have already been affected – I have to handle this differently.

Wiley was arrested Saturday by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, according to court records. He was being held without bail at the time.

This arrest of Wiley, 51, comes after a recent Rolling Stone article, which cited accusations of sexual assault by four women in April 2026.

Wiley was also sued by three women for raping them while he was at Columbia, where he played college football. He denied the allegations on his podcast “More To It with Marcellus Wiley,” saying he had evidence proving what he called “alleged false statements.”

Wiley had also called the allegations while at Columbia “BS.”

The Rolling Stone article notes that two of the women who claim Wiley sexually assaulted them came forward between 1995 and 1999.

There was another woman who claimed Wiley had groomed her since she was 13 while he played for the Buffalo Bills. Then she claims Wiley raped her when she was 18 in Dallas. She claims to have been transported by Wiley while he played for the Cowboys, according to Rolling Stone.

“Marcellus Wiley raped me on my 18th birthday, after grooming me from the age of 13,” the victim wrote, adding that he called her “little mama.” “If Columbia had properly followed up on the complaints…I would never have been groomed and raped.”

Additionally, a woman who was a production assistant at ESPN — Wiley worked as a broadcaster for ESPN and Fox Sports — alleged that Wiley cheated on her by telling her to join him in a hotel room for a business meeting in 2009. But she claims he sexually assaulted her during that time.

“The assault was devastating to me and I will live with its effects to this day,” the fourth woman wrote in a court filing, according to Rolling Stone.

Wiley was the 52nd overall pick in the 1997 NFL Draft out of Colombia, landing with the Bills where he would play for his first four NFL seasons.

But Wiley earned his first and only Pro Bowl nomination in 2001 with the San Diego Chargers, where he would play for three years. He also played with the Jacksonville Cowboys and Jaguars before his playing career ended after the 2006 season.
