- Download Llama 4 Scout and Maverick from llama.com or hugging the face today
- You can try Llama 4 now in WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram Direct
Meta has published what he calls a new “herd” of Llama 4 models. There are three flavors of the new Llama 4, called Scout, Maverick and Behemoth, and two are available at the moment so that you can try in your meta-applies like Messenger, Instagram and Whatsapp.
Llama 4 is the latest flagship version of the Open Source Llama AI of Meta, and the new version arrives almost exactly a year after the release of Llama 3 in 2024.
Inspired by the progress of the training carried out by Deepseek, the new Llama 4 was formed using the more effective methodology of the expert methodology.
As the names suggest, Scout is the lightest model, with 109 billion parameters, while Maverick has 400 billion parameters. These two models are available at the moment for developers to download and are also used in Meta Consumer popular applications.
Educational
The Behemoth of Llama 4 is a model focused on teachers, which claims that GPT-4.5, Claude, Sonnet 3.7 and Gemini 2.0 Pro on benchmarks focused on STEM such as Math-500 and GPQA Diamond. Currently, there is no access to the Llama 4 giant, because Meta says that he is still “in training”.
The new Meta models keep it at the forefront of the competitive LLM Open Source. Although the benchmarks are impressive, the current experience of consumers of the use of Meta Ai is still far behind using the Chatppt or the Gemini.
For example, while the two available AIS available are multimodal, there is always no way to download an image via Meta.ai, or in one of the many meta applications. You can ask Meta Ai to look at the URL of an image and to analyze what the download is not supported.
Likewise, Meta Ai lacks other chatbot extras that we considered standard these days, as AI research and deep reasoning, and its image generation capacities are lagging behind the most recent chatgpt update.
Copyright problems remain
The new Llama 4 models are accessible to developers, which can download the open source models to use at competitive token tariffs on llama.com and an embraced face.
Alternatively, the new Llama 4 LLM are available now to use at Meta.ai or in Meta Applications like Messenger, Whatsapp and Instagram Direct.
It should be noted that the new LLAMA 4 LLMS remains part of an ongoing dispute on copyright between META and several famous authors after legal documents have allegedly alleged that the meta-PDG Mark Zuckerberg had approved the use of the Libgen set of data, among other ghost libraries, in the formation of its LLAMA LLM.
The Atlantic recently published a database available for titles contained in Libgen, allowing many authors to see if Meta could have been formed on their work without authorization.
