The 2026 blockbuster movie season is fast approaching – and the TechRadar entertainment team needs your help to determine what the most anticipated new movie of the summer (or winter, for those of you living south of the equator) will be!
A host of exciting new films, spanning myriad genres and varying age ranges, are set to hit theaters between now and early September. Indeed, with the first Star Wars film in nearly seven years, the first Marvel film of 2026, and new sci-fi and historical epics from award-winning filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan, respectively, there will be plenty to choose from in the weeks and months to come.

It’s a lot harder than you originally thought, isn’t it? As a huge Spider-Man fan, I would go for Spider-Man: A Whole New Daywhich is the first of two Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films debuting in theaters this year.
However, there are many other interesting options that are also worth choosing in May and June. Are you going all-in The Mandalorian and Grogu end of May? How about Pixar’s next feature film installment Toy story a film franchise? Or, how about choosing DC over Marvel and checking out Supergirl?
Spider-Man 4 nevertheless, July will also offer us the previously mentioned offerings from Spielberg and Nolan in Disclosure day And The Odyssey — are you going to select one of this pair? Or will you wait until August to get the latest news Insidious film, or another hybrid animation-live-action film in Coyote vs. Acme?
