World’s world_xyz account gained attention through social media posts offering few details about the product, fueling speculation that the project could be a coin, a trading app, or a broader Solana infrastructure game. Copycat WORLD themed tokens have appeared on token launchpads, although these tokens are not official World assets.
The platform’s identity remained hidden until late June, when a legal disclosure about Phantom’s site surfaced on X.
World is more of a non-custodial prediction market, with users able to trade directly from their Solana wallets and funds only moving when they enter a market. Positions, settlements and redemptions are done on a chain.
