NYT Strands today (game #790) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #790, are…
- MIX
- CUT
- COASTER
- PONY
- SCRATCH
- MARINE
- MAGICIAN
- SPANGRAM: LINEAGE
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: 1 clue
Having never been to a LINEDANCE – unless doing the Superman Dance moves in a holiday park in the 1990s counts – my first thoughts after getting SHUFFLE were that it was a search for words meaning slow movement.
After receiving KICK I was completely confused and a hint of COASTER still left me none the wiser.
The turning point was seeing the dance and then the LINEDANCE, but I still worked uncoordinated on the painting.
Subsequently, I learned that all of these words describe types of line dancing rather than movements as such. It’s a lot of fun, but with my dodgy knees I doubt I’ll be doing the PONY anytime soon.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Friday, May 1, Game #789)
