Zayn Malik announced disappointing news to his fans by canceling all US dates on his upcoming 2026 tour following a recent hospitalization.
The former One Direction star, who released his latest album Konnakol on April 17, had been hospitalized last month for an unspecified illness.
In a message shared with his followers on Instagram, the singer explained that although he is recovering at home and feeling well, he has been forced to take a closer look at his schedule for the coming months and reduce the number of shows to ensure he can still perform safely.
Although the US leg of the tour has been completely scrapped, there is a glimmer of hope for some fans, as dates in the UK and Mexico later this month appear to be going ahead.

However, it hasn’t been a complete respite for British fans, as the Dublin and Birmingham shows have also been pulled from the schedule.
Industry insiders noted that while Zayn’s Las Vegas residency earlier this year was a huge success, ticket sales for the U.S. stadium dates were somewhat low, according to Ticketmaster seating plans, which may have played a role in the decision alongside his health issues.
The singer has remained very private since first revealing his hospital stay last week.
The mysterious illness had already caused him to miss an album listening party and Q&A session in Kingston on April 13.
At the time, Zayn told his fans he was heartbroken to miss them and expressed his gratitude to the hospital staff caring for him.
Her family has since appealed for calm, even asking her fans to stop sending flowers to a local florist overwhelmed with orders, instead suggesting supporters make donations to the charity Palestine Project.
Zayn’s cousin Sasha was quick to clarify that the increase in flower orders was actually linked to a separate Ramadan fundraiser rather than the singer’s sudden hospitalization, but the family remains grateful for the outpouring of love.
The health scare is the latest hurdle for the star, who has struggled with the pressures of fame since leaving One Direction in 2015.
For now, Zayn says he’s focused on getting “better and stronger” as he prepares to see as many fans as possible during his reduced schedule.
