Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift’s mutual admiration ended abruptly after the Already seen copyrighted drama in 2021, and the pop star finally spoke about it publicly.
In a new interview, the 23-year-old musician was asked about how online speculation and theories affected her when Swift was rumored to have filed a lawsuit against her.
THE driving license The hitmaker said, “I think I’ve tried not to let it get to me or upset me. I think I’m just trying to keep trucking with it. It was so long ago. I think there’s no point in talking about it,” during the New York Times Popcast interview.
Rodrigo went on to share that she’s always tried to stay focused on what matters and not hold grudges, saying, “I just try to make songs that I love and I try to be kind and good to other people and support them. I’ve always tried to be like that. At the end of the day, I think that’s all you can do.”

Rodrigo credited Swift after sampling her song New Year’s Day on her 1 step forward, 3 steps backbut fans claimed that his song Already seen used Swift Cruel summer without giving him credit for it.
Later reports revealed that Swift was legally pursuing Rodrigo for the royalties, but the legal situation has not been confirmed by either party.
