Pete Hegseth recites fake verse from Ezekiel 25:17 from ‘Pulp Fiction’ as prayer at Pentagon service

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is ridiculed by the public as he recites a fictional Bible quote from Quentin Tarantino’s 1194 film “Pulp Fiction” during a prayer service at the Pentagon.

On Wednesday, April 15, Hengest spoke about the recent rescue of a downed pilot in Iran and asked attendees to pray.

He called the prayer “CSAR 25:16,” which apparently was meant to reflect Ezekiel 25:17.

Hegseth recited: “The path of the downed airman is assailed on all sides by the inequalities of the selfish and the tyranny of wicked men. Blessed is he who, in the name of fellowship and duty, guides the lost through the valley of darkness…And I will strike upon you with great vengeance and furious wrath those who attempt to capture and destroy my brother, and you will know that my call sign is Sandy 1 when I exact my vengeance on you. Amen.”

This monologue was delivered by Jules Winnfield, played by Samuel L. Jackson, before killing his victims.

The actual text of Ezekiel 25:17 simply reads: “And I will take great vengeance upon them with furious reproof; and they will know that I am the LORD, when I take vengeance on them. »

The Pentagon did not say whether or not Hegseth was aware of the origin of the quote.
