There was a time when Prince William and Prince Harry were inseparable and their playful bond was a treat for audiences.
However, the bitter feud has torn the siblings apart to such an extent that they have not spoken to each other in years, and sources suspect they are unlikely to ever reunite.
Harry met his father at Highgrove House, alongside Meghan and their two children, in a private and emotional reunion. It was the first time in four years that Archie and Lilibet met their royal relatives.
The meeting with King Charles last week suggested there was perhaps a chance the brothers could be reunited. Previous reports had also claimed that one of the palace’s top aides was working to bring the king’s two sons together in one room.
The opportunity to meet has presented itself on numerous occasions, notably with the support of the King.
Even if they do not reconcile, the king wants William to tolerate the presence of his younger brother for the good of the monarchy. However, insiders said People Magazine that the relationship is “so broken” that it needs to be repaired.
“I thought maybe it would have subsided a little by now, to be honest,” a source close to William and Harry shared. “But there has been no movement, especially on William’s side. There is no contact.”
William is said to still be furious with Harry and deliberately occupied his diary during the visit to avoid any opportunity to meet his brother.
