Peter Phillips and his fiancée Harriet Sperling looked like a happy couple as they emerged from the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials on Saturday.
Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips’ son looked cheerful as he strolled through the Gloucestershire park alongside Harriet, with the couple soaking up the atmosphere on a family day out ahead of their upcoming wedding on June 6.
They were constantly smiling as they mingled with other guests and soaked up the sun at one of Britain’s most glamorous sporting events.
According to onlookers, the two could barely take their eyes off each other throughout the day.
A source described the couple as being “in their element”, chatting happily with friends, holding hands and leaning in affectionately as they strolled through the park with Peter’s daughters Savannah and Isla.
The romantic outing comes at a particularly exciting time for the couple, who are now counting down to their wedding after announcing their engagement earlier this year.
Peter and Harriet became increasingly comfortable together in the public eye and were often seen showing subtle but gentle displays of affection during royal and sporting appearances.
The Badminton Horse Trials hold special significance for the Royal Family, particularly Princess Anne and her children.
