Queen Camilla takes an unexpected step for the sake of her husband, King Charles, as big changes are expected to take place for the royal family.
Last week, Prince Harry and his family finally reunited with the king during a private meeting at Highgrove House, and Camilla was also there during it all. Reportedly, Harry and Meghan were very happy that their children finally met their grandparents. Charles was also delighted to see Archie and Lilibet again.
Although the details of the meeting were kept strictly under wraps, it also sparked speculation about what’s next for the Sussexes.
It appears Camilla is reluctantly changing her stance because he “wants peace” and “loves” her husband, according to a Palace insider, via gossip columnist Rob Shuter.
“She has seen this family break down in public, and if there is a chance for healing, she will stand by her husband,” the source said, noting that her forgiveness “does not erase the memory” of everything Harry had said and done.
Another royal source agreed that Camilla thinks Harry could turn on the royal family once again if things don’t go as planned, causing even more PR mayhem.
“Her priority is to protect the king from another round of heartbreak. She won’t let Charles be caught off guard twice.”
At the same time, she doesn’t cause any friction with William because she knows he will one day sit on the throne but she needs to have peace for now.
