- A new poster for Spider-Man: A Whole New Day was revealed
- We see Peter Parker wearing his superhero costume under a winter jacket.
- Marvel fans can’t help but make fun of the slogan that accompanies the poster.
Sony and Marvel have released another new poster for Spider-Man: A Whole New Day — and it didn’t take long for fans to poke fun at the eyebrow-raising caption that accompanied it.
Released on the studios’ social media channels, the one-sheet shows Tom Holland’s Peter Parker wearing his iconic red and blue superhero costume under a winter jacket. The artwork also reconfirms that, if a reminder was even necessary, that Spider-Man 4 will be released in theaters worldwide on July 31.

This is not the only promotional item that Sony and Marvel revealed today (May 14).
In fact, a new behind-the-scenes featurette has also been uploaded to the former’s YouTube channel. In it, Holland and director Destin Daniel Cretton discuss filming one of the Marvel movie Phase 6’s action sequences virtually in Glasgow, Scotland in August 2025.
Look on it
Better yet, the couple confirms that said setting will be part of the opening number of the upcoming Spider-Man film. So we’ll see the eponymous hero – with a little help (read: not much help at all) from Frank Castle/Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher – take on this armored vehicle in an explosive chase sequence ASAP. Spider-Man 4 begin.
With Brand new dayWith the global launch just over two months away, along with the release of these new marketing materials, I wouldn’t be surprised if another trailer drops online soon. While waiting for another set of images, read my Spider-Man: A Whole New Day trailer #1 to get a glimpse of what its plot might entail.
Why are Marvel fans laughing at the latest Spider-Man 4 poster?
By now you will have seen the caption that accompanies Brand new daydisplays it. If you skipped the first part of this article, here it is in its entirety: “The world has forgotten Peter Parker, but it has not forgotten them. »
Seems pretty harmless, right? So why the hell are fans rushing to mock said legend? Due to the recent myriad of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) events in Spidey’s hometown of New York that he is not involved in one way or another.
Indeed, whether it is the two seasons of Daredevil: Born Againevents depicted in the recent Disney+ TV special The Punisher: one last murderor the duo’s cousin on the big screen in Love at first sightfans can’t help but comment on the irony of the aforementioned caption.
“I’m getting conflicting messages between this slogan and its lack of presence during some pretty critical moments in New York over the past few seasons of Daredevil And Punisher: one last murder” one ResetEra user joked, before another person added: “Don’t forget his lack of presence in Love at first sight“.
“Are you sure about this, Peter?” » asked another ResetEra forumite. “Little Sicily [the New York district depicted in One Last Kill] I could use some help.”
Despite the slogan, others questioned the overall quality of the poster and whether it was created using artificial intelligence (AI). Just take a look at the threads on r/marvelstudios, r/spiderman, and r/marvelstudiospoilers to get a glimpse of what other negative comments it’s been met with since its unveiling. So let’s hope that a new trailer is released soon to get fans talking about the film in a positive light again.
