KARACHI:
The uncontrolled use of firearms in the city continues to endanger the lives of citizens, who do not feel safe on the streets and even inside their homes due to bullets fired from unknown directions.
According to a report, at least 40 people, including women, children and the elderly, were injured during the month of April 2026 in different areas of the metropolis after being hit by stray bullets. The alarming number of incidents highlights not only the widespread availability of weapons, but also their indiscriminate and illegal use, raising serious questions about the effectiveness of law enforcement.

Victims ranged in age from as young as 12 to people in their 70s, many of whom were struck while at home, on the road or in public places.
