Trump watches the LIV golf tournament at his own course in Sterling, Virginia

President Donald Trump is participating in his second golf tournament in as many weeks, both on courses he owns.

A week after seeing PGA Tour action at his Doral course in South Florida, Trump traveled in a motorcade to Washington D.C.’s Trump National Golf Course in Sterling, Virginia, to watch LIV golfers.

Trump arrived at the presidential suite by golf cart where his son, Eric, was sitting with someone from the Public Investment Fund, whose hand the president shook.

Amid uncertainty over LIV Golf after the league announced the Saudis would no longer fund it after this season, Trump said last week that having LIV golfers return to the PGA Tour would be good for the sport.

“I think all golfers should play against each other. They thought of something as a monopoly, but it’s moving away. It should be the opposite of a monopoly,” Trump told reporters at the news conference. Oval Office last Thursday.

“The tour wants to have the best players. You can’t have the best player they’re boycotting now. They might do something, you know, a little bit, but they’ll all come back on tour, and it’ll be great. I don’t know what’s going on with LIV.”

Trump has previously attended LIV events during his classes. This is one of two LIV events on a Trump course this year, as they will be traveling to Bedminster, New Jersey in August.

The Cadillac Championship last week, won by Cameron Young, was the first time in a decade that the PGA Tour was held at one of Trump’s courses.

Trump was also present at the opening day of the Ryder Cup last year at Bethpage Black in New York.
